The Woodsman

Build with God, not apart from Him.

The Builder

A good builder sharpens his tools before the sun comes up.

But the best builders know something even more important.

If God isn’t the one building the house, all the effort in the world won’t make it stand for long.

That’s a hard lesson for people who like to work hard. We want to believe that if we just try harder, think smarter, or swing the axe a little longer, everything will come together.

But the truth is simpler than that.

God made people to build things with Him.

In the very beginning, people were placed in a garden and given a job. Take care of it. Cultivate it. Watch over it. Work wasn’t meant to be meaningless effort. It was meant to be partnership.

The builder understands this.

He listens before he starts swinging.

Because we can plant the seed and water the ground, but in the end it’s God who makes things grow.

So the builder doesn’t rush into his own ideas. He slows down long enough to trust God and ask where the real work is already happening.

That’s where he builds.

And when life gets stormy, and it always does, the difference shows up pretty quickly. A life built on a solid foundation holds steady when everything else starts shaking.

The builder isn’t trying to prove something.

He’s just building the things God invited him to build.

And that kind of work is never wasted.

Strong. Steady. Grounded.

A life built with God is the kind that lasts.

The Ancient Wisdom

The strongest things in life are built with God, not apart from Him.
  • Unless the Lord builds the house, the builder’s effort comes to nothing.
  • From the beginning, humanity was placed in the garden to cultivate it and care for it.
  • A wise man builds on the kind of foundation that can withstand the storm.

A Question for the Builder

What are you building?

Not just in your work, but in your life.

Are you chasing your own plans, or joining the work God is already doing?

The things that last are rarely rushed. They are built patiently, faithfully, and in the presence of the Father.

The Coffee

The Woodsman is our dark roast. Bold, grounded, and steady. The kind of coffee that meets you early when it's time to get to work.
